About the event
Speaker, Dr. Bowie graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998 and
continued his studies at the University of Pennsylvania with an internship in Emergency and
Specialty Medicine and Surgery. Between 2000 and 2022, Peter practiced emergency and critical
care medicine in Marin County. He was Medical Director at Pet Emergency and Specialty Center of
Marin during that time. Peter is a proponent of organized veterinary medicine and currently serves
as the CVMA President. Other Board appointments include the AVMA PAC Board and the VISC
